Taking Space 6

Small adjustments to my usual techniques can create significant changes to the resulting prints. Here, two small plates were inked up individually and placed on the press bed to give an image that appears to float in space. The result defies a sense of scale, due to the absence of boundaries. Heavy weight, damp paper, and considerable pressure from the print rollers was needed to achieve the deep embossing which is visible even more in reality than here. This little collagraph is only 10cm x 10cm, so a lot is packed into a small space. Can be supplied with a simple mount, or mounted and framed.
